Curtis, the daughter of Carmencita Ojales from Bolinao Pangasinan in Australia as well as James Ernest Curtis Smith an Australian lawyer, was born on July 25, 1970 in Yarrawonga. In 1982, her father was married by Ojales. Jasmine is her sister who performs as an actress. Their father was one half sister, called Clare, who passed away in 2007 at age just four months, due to a heart disease.
